This is the first one of these we've had and after testing we can report that the variable speed control on this model gives access to a full range of phasing between the Slow and Fast settings (so it effectively overrides the switches)

Note that the instructions inside the lid are Japanese but we can supply replacement instructions for all Roland echoes

This Vari-speed Copicat is in good working order but tired cosmetic condition (please see photos)
