There is a silver button on the heel of the handle

There is inlaid silver decoration on the heel plates and traces remain on the spikes and arms of the spurs

it does not have a dust jacket

Vintage South American Gaucho Horse Whip or Rebenque - w1577 indian Stirrup 2 : width 5½This old whip has a dark hardwood handle with turned decoration. It has a silver coloured metal cap and two collars these are stamped with a possible hallmark or maker's stamp which I cannot read please look at the images. There is a chain on the top of the cap for hanging the whip from the saddle or a belt. At the other end of the whip there is a thick leather or hide section. The first part is rolled (rather like a sjambok) the lower part is flat
