It's a pretty New England landscape with a touch of fall and I thought it would make a nice painting so I shot it

It looks like this vintage jalopy was parked in the field a little too long because the vines grew over the chassis

The Pioneer Valley was a big shade tobacco producer and created tobacco for cigars for as far away as Cuba. The leaves are grown and harvested in fields under cheesecloth netting, sewn onto wooden slats and hung to dry in these gorgeous tobacco barns. Some tobacco barns are still active, like this one I captured in Whately, Massachusetts. Printed on
